Climbing and Mountaineering

Altigen™ can optimize oxygen efficiency and reduce swelling of the brain at any altitude, but it has not been formulated to counteract the kind of severe pulmonary and cerebral edema that occurs as “very high” and “extreme high” altitudes. Even youthful and active people are at risk of high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE) and    high altitude cerebral edema (HACE).

It is important to know the warning signs of HAPE and HACE. As a precaution, consult with your medical doctor about keeping Dexamethasone and Acetazolomide in your first aid kit to prevent HAPE while climbing.

If in doubt, follow the golden rule of healthy ascent… descend, descend, descend.

TIP: Even the most experienced climbers may need the help of Dexamethasone, Acetazolamide or a hyperbaric chamber. Don’t be “the fool on the hill.”

Buy Altigen™ for your next high altitude adventure.
